Chandra is a practicing Naturopath and a trained yoga practitioner. Chandra got the 1st rank in her University Course of Yoga & Naturopathy. Chandra joined JMD Medico Services Ltd in April 2017 as Chief Operating
Officer, JMD Medico.
Chandra completed her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Kolkatta and CFA from ICFAI IN the YEAR 2004. Thereafter she did her M.S. in Finance from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, the UK in the year 2006. After her M.S, Chandra worked as an Analyst at Transparent Value, a premier US investment firm. After that, she worked for 4 years in Financial Analyst roles at renowned companies i.e. Walt Disney & Religare.
Chandra is the eldest of 5 daughters in the Purohit family and suitably qualified with experience as Investment & Financial Analyst. In 2010, Mr. Purohit (Chandra’s father & Chairman of JMD Medico) wanted her to join the family business and assist him in his different investments & ventures. Unable to resist the call from her father, In June 2010 she joined her family companies. She was managing the multiple investments of the family in Startups & SMEs. She set up the Purohit Family Investment office.
She worked in formulating strategy and executing operations of multiple startups, ventures. Representing the family interests, She is on the Board of these companies. Apart from being on Board, she performed roles of Senior Executive Management in these companies. These ventures are in diverse industries (Ecommerce, Digital payments, the Astrology marketplace, E-learning, Investment & Financial services).
In 2016, the family incorporated JMD MEDICO. This was the family’s venture to foray into the Personal Care & Medicinal Ayurvedic products. She took a break from the active day-to-day work and decided to pursue an Academic Qualification in the fields of Ayurveda, Naturopathy & Yoga. She enrolled in the D.Y.Patil University (an esteemed and prestigious University). As mentioned earlier she topped this course and was first in the entire University.
Today, she is enriched with the theory as well as practical knowledge of Naturopathy & Yoga. She is a Yoga practitioner for over 4 years. She has Analyst experience working with leading global firms. She has worked with entrepreneurs in creating top companies. She has experience working on the Board of Directors and performing executive duties in SMEs.
Chandra brings to JMD Medico her relevant academic qualifications, her rich experience as an Analyst, and operations expertise to lead the company’s operations.
Chandra lives in Mumbai with her husband, Mr. Rajesh Joshi. Her husband is a serial entrepreneur. He has created successful ventures & exited them with decent exits. They both are involved with a couple of Charities/Social Enterprises and are avid travelers having visited over 70 cities.
